Portraits is Patricia Murray's first solo recording. This recording's Celtic folk style encompasses traditional Irish and Scottish songs as well as Murray's own compositions inspired by Celtic Mythology.

An eclectic selection of songs features musicians Doug Riley ('Dr. Music') on piano, fiddling sensation Richard Wood, Halifax Irish flute and uillean pipe player Jon Goodman, and P.E.I.'s own Rick Tersteeg (cello), Malcolm Stanley (12-string guitar), Ken MacCaull (guitar), and the multi-talented Kim Vincent (guitar and fiddle).
