Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of Prince Edward Island, Award winning singer, Patricia Murray, has crafted a fitting tribute to her ancient Gaelic forbearers, a beautiful and haunting reflection of the music created by the early Scottish settlers. Her third solo CD, Fàilt' Eilein a' Phrionnsa - Welcome to Prince Edward Island is a collection of Gaelic songs written or sung by Islanders during the peak of Gaelic language and culture on Prince Edward Island. Patricia wraps her voice around these relatively unknown songs, breathing fresh spirit into these traditional melodies accompanied by the beautiful and dramatic playing of Troy MacGillivray (piano, fiddle, & accordion).
